Robert Burke Burns was born in Dallas, Texas. His childhood was spent in Texarkana, Ark/Tex. As a young man he studied advertising, art and illustration in Nashville, Tennessee. However, his life's work wasn't spent doing art, but he always had a burning desire to 'paint'. He took an early retirement from the corporate world in which he worked, and has been seriously painting for over 20 years.
